Digital Advertising Solutions Creative Awards by Microsoft
The former MSN European Creative Competition has been announced by the Redmond Company as the third annual Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions
Creative Awards. Consumer goods (FMCG); non-governmental organizations;
financial services and telecoms; media and entertainment; and travel and transport are the five industry categories for online advertising.
Microsoft’s Digital Advertising Solutions Creative Awards are designed to applaud creativity and innovation in online advertising. The Redmond juggernaut will also present “Best in Show†accolade to the top online campaigns. The Digital Advertising Solutions Creative Awards will accept as entries campaigns that have run across Microsoft’s advertising network.
“As ad spending continues to increase and online advertising cements its position as part of the media mix, some of the most creative and effective advertising is now being found on the Internet,†said Marc Bresseel, regional sales director of Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions EMEA. “Last year’s awards were hugely competitive, attracting a broad spectrum of compelling, exciting and innovative entries that really sought to inspire and engage with consumers while challenging traditional thinking. Through these awards we want to continue to recognise and reward creative talent, and inspire agencies and advertisers to use the online medium in fresh and exciting ways.â€
Microsoft has revealed that a panel of creative pioneers will select a number of 15 final nominees, based on criteria of creativity, execution and strategic approach. “The panel will be looking for campaigns with an integrated strategy which managed to achieve creative excellence while maintaining brand relevance and delivering on the specific campaign objectives,†said creative director Joakim Borgstrom from Wieden+Kennedy in the Netherlands. “Once again the industry has really moved forward in the past 12 months and we are looking forward to getting to grips with this year’s best campaigns and debating just who deserves the coveted first places.â€
All the first prize winners across categories will have their campaigns entered into the 2007 Cannes Cyber Lions Awards.
